For a while now, there's been rumours that singer, Mr Eazi is dating Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire oil magnate, Femi Otedola. Photos of them stepping out at a weeding in London this past weekend went a long way in proving that they may be an item.
At the moment Mr Eazi and Temi are trending topics on Nigerian twitter with people giving reasons why they should date and others calling Eazi a gold digger. See the tweets below.

Photo of the man who stabbed his wife to death over N2k feeding allowance in Kogi

30 year old Abdullahi Garba, pictured above, stabbed his wife, Falilat Saka Garba, to death following a disagreement over feeding allowance. The deceased had asked for N4000 feeding allowance but the suspect said he offered her only N2000 which was the only money he had. He instructed her to return N500 to him but she then picked up a quarrel with him. In the process, she slapped him and in retaliation, he picked up a knife and stabbed her in the stomach. He is in police custody in Kogi.

Zimbabwean man caught dressed as a woman to write exams for his girlfriend


A man in Zimbabwe man was caught sitting for an O’Level exam on behalf of his girlfriend.
For his mission, he disguised as a woman, fully kitted in a wig, makeup, and a handbag but he was eventually caught by the eagle-eyed invigilating officer. He has since been handed over to the authorities while his girlfriend has disappeared.

Moji Olaiya Goes To Her Final Resting Place …Nollywood Pay Tribute

Nollywood Actress Mojisola Olaiya was buried today amidst tears and encomium. Moji Olaiya was buried at the Ebony Vault in Ikoyi Lagos. The funeral rites started with lying in state,  a prayer session which  progressed into an interment at Ebony Vault Cemetery, Ikoyi, Lagos. The funeral was attended by Nollywood  Actors like, Ireti Oshayemi, Mide Martins, Doris Simeon, Sola Kosoko-Abinna, Muka Ray, Eniola Badmus, Lola Alao, Segun Okeowo, Muyiwa Ademola, Liz Anjorin, Gbenga Adewusi, Foluke Daramola, Faithia Balogun among others….Pix by Segun Lawal

Dammy Krane: singer released on bail


Embattled Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane has met up with the bail set for the charges of grand theft against him in Miami, USA and has been released on bail.
However, he has been assigned an attorney and he billed to appear in court on June 23 2017.
If his bail conditions do not include being away from social media, fans are expecting him to appear on Instagram and refute all the allegations made against him. Only two days ago, his mother released a statement that blamed her son’s troubles on the show promoter that booked his flight ticket.

BREAKING: Hamburger: Ambode bans transport unionism in Oshodi, tightens security


Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has suspended transport unionism in Oshodi, in Lagos.
This followed violence that erupted after the killing of a popular union leader, Rasaq Bello, aka Hamburger.
Hamburger was the Chairman of Motorcycle Operators’ Association of Lagos State, Oshodi chapter.
The suspension order was disclosed at a press briefing on Monday by the Lagos State Commissioner for Transport, Anofiu Elegushi.
He said the ban will affect all the seven branches of the National Union of Road Transport Workers operating in Oshodi area.
 The commissioner said while the order lasts, there will be no issuance of tickets or collection of money from commercial vehicles operating in the area.

He said the governor also ordered increased security cover for the area.
On Sunday, the Nigeria Police announced that the arrest of factional leaders ​of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Road Transport Employers’ Association of Nigeria ​(​RTEAN​). A statement by ​Public Affairs Officer​ of Lagos State Task Force​, ​Adebayo Taofeek, quoted Chairman​, Superintendent​ of Police ​Olayinka Egbeyemi, ​as assuring Lagosians of safety of lives and property

Lagos suspends union activities in Oshodi

Lagos State government on Monday announced the indefinite suspension of all union activities in seven branches of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Oshodi area of the state.
The government took the decision after crisis broke out in Oshodi following the murder of a prominent member of NURTW in the area, Alhaji Rasaq Balogun, also known as Hamburger.
The state Acting Commissioner of Transportation, Prince Anofiu Elegushi, who gave the directive at a press briefing held at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa, Ikeja, said there would be no collection of tickets/fees from commercial buses while the suspension lasts.
He said the state government officials and security personnel have asked to monitor transport operations within the seven branches to ensure compliance with the directive.
The commissioner said the suspension would remain in force until peace returns to the area.
